Peacock Laner (Hot Toddy)

As the weather gets chilly, this PBP hot toddy - named after Portland's own Christmas street - is sure to cure what ails you. We had loads of fun experimenting with bergamot, and you, too, may be able to find unusual citrus in the stores this time of year. PEACOCK LANER

2 oz. bourbon, rye or brandy
1 oz. juice of bergamot orange (or your favorite seasonal citrus)
.75 oz. maple syrup
6 oz. hot water
10 drops PBP Super Spice Bitters

Warm your favorite mug with hot water. Mix all ingredients in your mug. Garnish with whole spices and enjoy!
